The true history of Mouton Rothschild really starts in 1922, date of the magic meeting between a ground, a climate and the passion of a man Philippe de Rothschild.
That man builds the famous Grand Chai (1000 m length) and, such the “Petit Prince de Saint Exupéry, requests the famous painters Miro, Chagall, Picasso…to draw a Mouton ... Rothschild. It is the beginning of the extraordinary labels collection.
In 1973, Mouton Rothschild reaches the rank of 1er cru classé.
Actually, Philippine de Rothschild is devoted to increase the Mouton Rothschild’s quality and notoriety.
